comes the most anticipated SBA social event of the semester-
Barrister's Ball! Affectionately referred to by students as "Law
School Prom," it's just like your high school prom, but with an
open bar, better style, and a couple hundred law students ready
to de-stress and let loose.
Barrister's Ball will be held at the Hilton Arlington in
Ballston on Saturday, February 28 from 8pm until midnight.
Tickets are being sold in the atrium daily, Monday through
Friday, from 10 am until 8 pm and are currently priced at $45.
The ticket price will increase by $5 every week, so buy your
tickets sooner rather than later. Each student may purchase one
student ticket and one guest ticket, and ticket price includes
four hours of open bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and dancing to a
fabulous DJ.
Barrister's Ball is a semi-formal event, and dress ranges
from cocktail attire to black tie. Students should feel free to get
as dressed up as they would like to-short dresses, long gowns,
suits, military dress and tuxes are all appropriate. If you like to
shake it on the dance floor, wear something you can dance in!
Barrister's Ball is a great opportunity to relax and mingle
with your fellow students outside of school. Spouses, significant
others, and friends are welcome to come as dates, and
many students also attend in groups or come single. There will
be plenty of people to socialize with!
The Hilton offers parking, or alternatively, students can park in
the Ballston Mall garage for $1. The Hilton is also steps away
from the Ballston Metro stop and a short cab ride from anywhere
in Arlington. If you are planning to enjoy a few cocktails,
please plan transportation accordingly- as law students we
know better than to even consider drinking and driving.
Let's get warmed up for Spring Break by enjoying good
food, drinks, dancing, and company at Barrister's Ball. Buy
your tickets today!
