Last week, the National Moot Court Competition team from GMUSL, represented by 3L's Rocky King, Tony Schiavetti, and Kim Bierenbaum won the award for best brief out of the 28 finalists competing at the New York City Bar.
Every year, over 150 law schools compete in the regional rounds throughout the U.S., and the winners advance to the final rounds held at the New York City Bar.
The competition is organized by the Committee on Young Lawyers, whose membership is comprised of New York City Bar members admitted to practice for 8 years or less. National Moot Court is recognized as one of themost prestigious and competitive moot court competitions in the United States.
The GMUSL team also advanced to the round of 16 in the oral argument event. As winners of best brief, GMUSL and the team member names will be listed on the New York City Bar's website along with the oral argument winner.
