Public Service Career Fair: This is a reminder that all students can still participate in the Table Talk component of the eighth annual Washington, D.C./Baltimore Public Service Career Fair. The career fair will be held on Friday, January 39 at Mason Law in conjunction with five other area law schools and the Federal Bar Association.

In an effort to keep the student body apprised of what SBA is doing, I prepared the following summary of SBA activities since the last Docket issue. At the most recent meeting the Board discussed class scheduling issues that were raised during and after the Spring registration period.

On January 22, 2010, GMU law students and the Arlington Campus community sponsored an urgent fundraiser to benefit the people of Haiti. The fundraiser reportedly raised between $1800-$2000 through donations alone. All the proceeds went to Partners in Health, a low-overhead and efficient medical relief organization already on the ground in Haiti providing much-needed medical relief services for those affected by last week's devastating January 12th earthquake.

The Moot Court Board would like to congratulate all of the teams it sent out last semester to competitions throughout the United States on their successes! Notably, the last three teams to compete last semester performed exceptionally well. The first team, Craig Rust and Adam Aft, participated in the Pepperdine National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition during the second weekend in November.
